Ford F-150 AEM Brute Force Cold Air Intake
The F-Series is a series of full-size pickup trucks from Ford Motor Company sold for over five decades. The most popular variant of the F-Series is the F-150. It was the best-selling vehicle in the United States for 23 years and has been the best-selling truck for 31 years, though this does not include combined sales of GM pickup trucks. Analysts estimate that the F-Series alone makes up half of the Ford Motor Company's profits in recent years. In the 10th generation of the F-series, Ford split the F-150 & F-250/350 into two different body styles. The new F-250/F-350 and as of 2007 F-450 is called the Super Duty.
In 2004, Ford redesigned the F-150 using the new P2 platform. The side windows also changed to a Kenworth "Daylight Door" and Ford Super Duty-like appearance; dipping towards the front of the door. Initially, only Ford's 4.6 L Triton and new 3-valve 5.4 L 3V Triton V8 engines and automatic transmissions were offered on the new trucks. In 2005, Ford's 4.2 L Essex V6 and manual transmission became available and standard on base models after they were available only for fleet orders last year.
The Ford F-150 is a powerful truck right off the dealer's showroom floor but many people want more. One of the easiest and relatively low cost upgrades is to install a Cold Air Intake. A Cold Air Intake will give you more horsepower and torque. One of the best cold air intake systems out there is the Brute Force Cold Air Intake by AEM.
AEM has developed their Brute Force line of intakes for most popular trucks, SUV's and Muscle cars including the Ford F-150. All Brute Force intakes are Dyno-tested to create more torque and horsepower than any other intake for large displacement engines.
Advanced Engine Managment's R&D department has one of the best testing procedures and quality-first manufacturing processes that set their Brute Force intakes apart from the rest. But at the end of the day, what makes their Brute Force intakes different is that they make more torque and horsepower than the competition, and deliver the best filtration and performance available through their DRYFLOW Synthetic filter. They test against them, and won't release a system unless it outperforms all other offerings.
The mechanical engineers emphasize tuning the resonance properties of the inlet pipe to help carry more air to the intake valves. They often route their plumbing so that the filter draws air from the safest and coolest location, and provide a steel powder coated heat shield to shroud the filter from engine heat and road dirt. Every Brute Force Intake that is made is submitted to C.A.R.B. for 50-state exemption, and they are guaranteed for life.
Combine this with the only dry performance filter on the market (DRYFLOW Synthetic filter), complete hardware in every kit, a steel heat shield, reinforced brackets, unmatched looks and a lifetime guarantee, and it's easy to see why Brute Force Intakes "Outperform The Competition."
