Nissan Versa AEM Cold Air Intake

The Versa was introduced in the United States and Canada in July 2006 as a 2007 model.  The North American Versa debuted at the 2006 North American International Auto Show in January of the same year. The hatchback model was introduced first, with the sedan arriving later at the end of the year. Both vehicles are 2007 models. The Versa is powered by a 1.8 L I4 MR Series engine producing 122 hp (91 kW) and 127 ft•lb (170 N•m). Three transmissions are offered: a 4-speed automatic, a continuously variable transmission, and a 6-speed manual. It is the only car in its class (in the North American market) to offer a six-speed manual transmission as standard equipment.

In the first season of the NBC show Heroes, the Versa was driven all over the U.S. by two of the main characters, Ando and Hiro. The opening of Marc Anthony' song "I Need to Know" is featured in the 2008 U.S. Nissan Versa commercial.

The majority of AEM's cold air intake system designs mount to a vehicle in two locations. One mounting location is to the engine at the throttle body and the "cold" or filter end of the inlet pipe mounts to the body of the car. The movement of the engine on the engine mounts allows it to rock inside the engine bay, so AEM compensates for engine motion by using a soft mount that provides a flexible link for the inlet pipe between the engine and the body of the car. If you do not install the soft mount properly the inlet tube may break at the bracket weld and void the warranty on the air intake system. The instructions that are provided include a detailed diagram of proper installation of the soft mount.
